A Mervin Globe brand

An example itinerary across Türkiye

Istanbul and the Lycian coast, nine nights

Three nights in the city, then six on the coast where the Lycians cut their tombs into the cliffs: clear water under pale rock, ruined cities a short drive apart, and a boat of your own that leaves before the day boats do.

Turquoise water, a pale beach with bathers and a limestone cliff above it

An example itinerary. It shows how a journey here can be shaped; it is not a fixed product, and yours would be designed around you.

Who it suits

Couples and families who want the sea and the past in the same week, and who would rather walk a ruined city at eight in the morning than queue for it at noon. From April to June and in September and October the coast is at its best; July and August are for the water, with the ancient cities kept for the cooler hours.

Istanbul, nights one to three

The first afternoon is left empty. The old city with a historian on the second morning, from the doors of Hagia Sophia at opening, then an afternoon that is yours. On the third evening, the Bosphorus from your own boat as the bridges light up.

The coast, nights four to nine

About an hour and a quarter by air to Antalya, then the coast road west with your own car and driver. Six nights above the water between Kaş and Kalkan. One early morning, Kekova by your own boat, out of Kaş before the day boats, the sunken city under the hull and a swim in a bay nobody else has reached. Another day, Patara and Xanthos with an archaeologist, two of the great Lycian cities a short drive apart, and the long beach at Patara afterwards. The cove at Kaputaş, early or late. Between them, days with nothing in them but lunch by the water.

Home

Back along the coast to Antalya for the flight, with the old town of Kaleiçi for a last lunch if the times allow. The car is ordered around the flight.

What it includes

  • Kekova by your own boat, before the day boats
  • Patara and Xanthos with an archaeologist
  • Six nights above the water, no two early mornings in a row

How it is private

Pace
Days are shaped around when you are at your best, not around opening hours.
Privacy
Your own car and driver. No shared transfers, no meeting points, no waiting for a group.
One person
The designer who writes your journey is the person you message while you are on it.

Making it yours

Longer or shorter, slower or fuller, with children or without, with another region added: everything here can change. Tell us who is travelling and we will redraw it.

The price of a journey depends on the season, the hotels and the number of people travelling, so it is written into your dossier, not printed here.

Start from this, or from nothing.

We will design the rest around you. A travel designer reads every message and replies personally.
