An example itinerary. It shows how a journey here can be shaped; it is not a fixed product, and yours would be designed around you.
Who it suits
A couple or a family on a first visit, with a week to spend. It works in spring and autumn above all, and in winter for those who like a city in its own coat and a valley under snow. In high summer we would shift the days earlier and keep the afternoons for shade and water.
Istanbul, nights one to four
Day one is left open on purpose: the car meets your flight, and the first evening is on the water, with dinner brought to you rather than found. Day two is the old city with a historian, from the doors of Hagia Sophia at opening to lunch where the guide eats. Day three begins when you wake: a hammam held for you alone, then the Bosphorus from your own boat as the bridges light up. Day four is Topkapı by the quiet door, the markets for whatever is on your list, and a last evening on a roof in Galata.
Cappadocia, nights five to seven
The late-morning flight, about an hour and a quarter, and a house carved into the rock in Uçhisar by mid-afternoon. One early morning, chosen for the light, in a balloon that carries only you; breakfast waits. Then the painted churches at opening, a potter's wheel in Avanos, a winemaker's table in the rock, and a valley walked in the late light after the others have left.
Home
The last morning is yours. The car is ordered around the flight, not the other way round.
What it includes
- One early morning in Cappadocia, not three
- Your own boat on the Bosphorus
- A guide for the old city only, and only once
How it is private
- Pace
- Days are shaped around when you are at your best, not around opening hours.
- Privacy
- Your own car and driver. No shared transfers, no meeting points, no waiting for a group.
- One person
- The designer who writes your journey is the person you message while you are on it.
Making it yours
Longer or shorter, slower or fuller, with children or without, with another region added: everything here can change. Tell us who is travelling and we will redraw it.
The price of a journey depends on the season, the hotels and the number of people travelling, so it is written into your dossier, not printed here.
